The Rainbow Flag Award Classroom enables LGBT+ inclusive conversations across the wider curriculum, raising awareness of the existence of LGBT+ people and identities. In the subject of Relationships (and Sex) Education, we have the opportunity to deliver LGBT+ specific education, really gaining an understanding of what it is to be an LGBT+ person.

The Proud Trust have developed a number of educational resources that can help you deliver positive messaging around LGBT+ people and identities, that help you meet your statutory requirements to deliver inclusive RSE. This really is the opportunity to equip young people with the knowledge of the world they live in, as well as giving them the language to describe who they might be, or become.

The full pack contains everything you need to positively teach about same gender relationships with your class, and includes:

  • Five fully resourced lessons, built around and giving access to;

Trans Positive Education for Primary Schools – KS2

Many primary schools are doing amazing work around challenging gender stereotypes. What is missing, often, is then a further set of conversations and lessons about the existence of trans and non-binary people (the T bit of LGBT+). It is so important that trans and non-binary children are positively represented, with visibility of others like them, which is why this range of resources has been created, to enable schools to do this.

The full pack contains everything you need to positively teach about trans and non-binary people with your class, and includes:

  • Trans Positive Education for Primary Schools five lesson booklet;
  • Alien Nation book;
  • Set of three Alien Nation posters;
  • A Trans Pride flag.
